Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2025-09-14T12:00Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
GOES: CCOR-1
Activity ID: 2025-09-14T12:00:00-CME-001 (version 2)
Note Keyword:
3P: 3-part structure CME
DPL: CME exhibits dimpled front
FOV: Front Bright front; may be evidence of pileup
GAP: Data gap
HAL: Halo CME
Source Signature Keyword:
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
EUVW: EUV Wave
Morphology Keyword:
FS: Flux Rope and Shock Candidate
Note: Bright, wide asymmetrical partial halo to the NE in SOHO LASCO and GOES CCOR-1, with two asymmetrical lobes (the northern one seemingly a bit faster initially) and a dimpled front. The CME is seen directly north in STEREO A COR2 coronagraph, so it is clearly a far-sided event. The start of this event could be even a bit earlier but it seems to get increase in speed around 2025-09-14T12Z. Coronal signatures include restructuring of magnetic field behind the NE limb around 2025-09-14T11:59Z, as seen in GOES SUVI 284 and 195, however there is also some minor dimming in the NE on the visible, Earth-facing disk (in GOES SUVI 195) around the same time.

Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type

The source seems to be far-sided, based on the coronal signatures (restructuring of magnetic field behind the NE limb in GOES SUVI).
